Charity Touch Rugby Tournament

On Saturday, 5 April 2025, Warwick School is holding a very special Charity Touch Rugby Tournament to raise money for four charities.

Inspired by rugby league legend and England Rugby coach Kevin Sinfield CBE, this event will support his unwavering efforts to raise awareness of motor neurone disease (MND) and fund crucial research to combat this debilitating condition. His mission has been deeply shaped by his close friend and former teammate, Rob Burrow CBE, who bravely battled MND until his passing at the age of 41.

In a remarkable feat of endurance and dedication, Sinfield recently completed seven 50km runs in seven days, a challenge inspired by Burrow’s iconic number seven jersey. In keeping with this powerful symbolism, our tournament will incorporate the number seven into its format and fundraising goals.

All proceeds will be distributed amongst the following charities, each playing a vital role in the fight against MND:

Every penny raised will be donated in memory of Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir, and in honour of Stephen Darby, Ed Slater, and the 5,000 people across the UK living with MND today.

Please join us for an incredible day of rugby, camaraderie, and fundraising, as we come together to make a meaningful impact in the fight against MND. The tournament will start at 11.00am and is expected to finish at approximately 3.00pm.
