Warwick Sevens

Annual Warwick School 7s Tournament

Warwick School is proud to host an annual Warwick Sevens Tournament.  This provides an excellent opportunity for some of the top rugby schools in England and Wales to showcase their skills and abilities in the exciting seven-a-side format of the game.

For the U14, U15 and U16s, the tournament boasts Cup, Shield and Plate levels, with knock-out games following the initial pool stages. The U13s compete in a two-phase ‘waterfall’ format, providing all players with equal game time at an appropriate level.

A unique and historic element of the Warwick 7s Tournament is the awarding of the ‘Freeborn Shield’ to the school that achieves the greatest level of success across all age groups. This means all matches have significance for each school throughout the day.

Each year, we witness some highly competitive rugby alongside the values that make rugby such a fantastic sport - the RFU’s Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

This year's Warwick 7s Tournament took place on Saturday, 8 March. Once again, players, coaches and spectators had a fantastic day, enjoying the terrific rugby on show. The full set of results is available on our dedicated SOCS microsite, or you can view a list of previous winners as well as the history of Warwick 7s

If you are interested in entering teams into the 2026 tournament, please email Conor Maguire.

We look forward to seeing you all again in 2026.
