Big Brass Concert 2023
Wow! The Big Brass Concert 2023 showcased a truly breath-taking and spectacular show to a fully packed energetic Warwick Hall. The audience were treated to a joyous evening of music whereby all the Brass ensembles performed superbly demonstrating that Brass playing is clearly thriving at Warwick School.
The 100+ piece Foundation Brass Band commenced the evening with an absolute bang, performing 'The Incredibles'. Brass Monkeys dedicated the 'Trumpet Voluntary' to our newly anointed monarch, King Charles III and Brass Company delivered an outstanding contrasting programme ranging from Alan Fernie’s 'Prismatic Light' to Frank Sinatra. Following a rapturous applause and standing ovation from a very appreciative audience, the concert ended with all the musicians sounding the iconic classic hit - 'Gonna Fly Now' from Rocky. In addition, all the above was further enhanced by smoke machines, light shows, confetti canons and pyrotechnics providing listeners with sheer excitements levels off the scale.
Huge congratulations to all pupils that performed and to Warwick’s esteemed Head of Brass, Mr Tibbitts and all the Brass team for making this a night to remember for a long, long time!
