Meeting together in the Portcullis room around the big table, the Sixth Form Committee told of the social netball match (boys VS girls) that they organised last week and how they have been working as a team with staff and their King's High counterparts to review aspects of the Sixth Form uniform policy – haircuts being one topic of hot debate! The catering team reported that they had shared students’ feedback with Mr Badr, Head of Food Operations, but that they would also be meeting with him on Wednesday to discuss the next set of menus. The Green team will also be meeting with him to discuss food waste and how we might reduce this.

As we enjoyed some cake, we were also very pleased to hear that the Teaching and Learning team have created a ‘OneNote’ manual for staff to improve understanding of pupils preferred layout and structure of One Note class notebooks. They additionally will be involved with the interview process for new staff this term including candidates for Academic Deputy Head. The wellbeing team and green teams have been very busy too with Mental Health Awareness Week approaching and preparations behind maintaining our ‘Green Flag’ status. One of our busiest teams right now is the Charities Committee who reported that they are in full swing preparing for a cross Foundation charity day in aid of the Sir Stanley Matthews Foundation. This is all their own work, and they will be working hard to deliver assemblies and donut sales across campus towards the end of this half term, as well as selling raffle tickets for some great prizes.
