120 pupils and 14 staff, represented the school on the first weekend back, scoring over 1600 runs, and taking 73 wickets over the course of the day. As a whole, the school came out on top winning 7 of the 10 matches. 

A notable highlight of the day saw everyone representing the school at U12 and U13 level making their Warwick School cricket debut and all teams in these age groups leaving the field with a win. Performance of the day came from Ranvir Saluja in the U12B's who scored 53 not out and took 3-14 with the ball. Special mentions also go to Ollie Walmsley (74 not out) and Henry Askin (62) in the U12A’s as well as Tim Drake amassing 59* to support an impressive bowling performance in the U13A’s.

Both the U15 A and B teams and U14B team also began their seasons with a win helped by half-centuries from Henry Jones in the U15A’s, Joss Robbins and Harry Stanton in the U15B’s and Anthony Hargett in the U14B’s. Wickets were shared around the teams, with many boys experiencing success with the ball, in particular, Tom Macro with the best figures on the day across the school, taking 4-17 narrowly missing out on a hat-trick. Whilst not being on the winning side, a mention should also go to Ed Wye who scored 74 not out for the U14A’s.

Following a difficult start to the season against RGS Worcester, the U18’s and U17’s bounced back to enjoy their first taste of victory this season against KES Stratford. The U18’s made a strong start to their national T20 knockout campaign with a convincing victory over their local rivals with Ibby Afzal scoring the bulk of the runs with 79 and Adam Lane bulldozing his way to a quick-fire 42 not out - also ably supported by Sid Sanyal on 1^st XI T20 debut taking 3-25 and almost took a hat-trick.

Overall, it was a refreshing start to the season to see so many boys on the field playing cricket with a smile on their faces and Mr. Francis is very optimistic about the fortunes this season holds for the cricket teams.
