We had an excellent field of candidates and would like to thank everyone who expressed their interest in the position. We are delighted to announce that our 2021-2022 Captain of Debating will be Sebastian Duffy. 

As well as competing to a very high standard in both the Oxford and Cambridge Schools’ Debating Competitions, Sebastian has been active in Senior Debating throughout the year, demonstrating his commitment to and enthusiasm for debating. 

Sebastian’s application for the role of Captain of Debating, highlighted his determination to get more Warwick School pupils involved in debating, expanding our clubs and ensuring that debaters of all ages can enjoy challenging motions as well as the fun of debating in a variety of formats, which is a truly commendable goal. Sebastian’s vision for debating has also been evident in Senior Debating meetings, both in his motion suggestions and in his influential contributions. 

We have a brilliant team of Senior Debaters as well as impressive groups in Years 7 to 9. As we start to think about next academic year, we invite all of our Warwick School pupils to come along and get involved in debating in September.
