Miles for Smiles
We are delighted to say that parents, pupils and staff raised £1,215 for Kissing it Better.
The Sports department challenged staff and pupils to run/walk or cycle as many miles as they could in one week for our Sports charity event ‘Miles for Smiles’. The pupils all received 1 house point for each entry and the top 3 miles covered in each year group would receive 10 points. Congratulations to Brooke who won the event. We are delighted to say that parents, pupils and staff raised £1,215 for Kissing it Better. Kissing it Better is an award-winning health care charity which the school has supported for many years now.
Caty Oates, Project Director of Kissing it Better commented, “Warwick School has a long tradition of working with Kissing it Better with hundreds of pupils volunteering since 2011. This very generous donation will allow us to continue our mission to end the loneliness of old age by bringing the generations together. The money raised will be used to deliver projects to cheer up older patients at Warwick Hospital (South Warwickshire Foundation Trust) and local care homes. A huge thank you to all the pupils, staff and parents who donated and took part”.
Thank you so much for all the generous donations and we look forward to supporting Kissing it Better in the future.
