Virtual travel from Hong Kong to Beijing
School House (which currently comprises 19 boarders and 6 staff) are aiming to virtually travel the distance from Hong Kong to Beijing by the end of February half term.
This is a distance of 1965km. We started the challenge on 9 January and we have currently collectively travelled 844km.
We are covering the distance through a combination of walking, running, cycling, rowing and playing basketball. With 3 weeks still to go we have currently travelled 1457km from Hong Kong. We have just 508km to go until we ‘reach’ Beijing so we are hopeful we will actually get further than originally planned. Great efforts being made by everyone!
Our weekly Wednesday evening ‘Games’ sessions are helping to keep the totals climbing, with all boys spending at least an hour working out and covering some virtual ground. Frank Kwok is definitely leading the charge for the boys during these sessions, comfortably running 10km every time.
