The evening included three Wind Bands, three Flute Ensembles, as well as special performances from the mighty 17-member Bassoon Platoon and Foundation Wind Ensemble who played Gustav Holst’s Jupiter. The Saxophone Ensemble flash mobbed into the opening of the second half with a groovy performance! The evening concluded with a disco glasses, afros, and glitter jackets in the massed item performance of 180 pupils performing Earth, Wind and Fire’s September. We can safely say the future is bright for Woodwind and Winds Bands across the Foundation.
