We are pleased to announce more diverse, exciting, and thought-provoking talks from a range of inspiring speakers. Pupils from all year groups are welcome to attend what is sure to be another fantastic term of events.

All from 4.15pm - 5.30pm. Unless otherwise stated, events are unticketed and open to all.

Dr Sukhvir Wright is a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Career Development Fellow at the Institute of Health and Neurodevelopment, School of Life and Health Sciences, Aston University and Honorary Consultant Neurologist at Birmingham Children's Hospital

An Encounter with Motor Racing and Peter Dumbreck

Peter Dumbreck is one of the UK’s most experienced and successful racing drivers.  Career highlights: Winning all junior single seater championships contested up to and including Japanese F3 and Macau World Cup before becoming Mercedes factory driver in Le Mans 24hr and DTM. Further stints with Opel, Toyota, Nissan and Spyker were spent racing globally in GT, Touring Cars and Prototypes taking in Daytona 24hrs, six Le Mans 24 hrs starts, including two podiums, and 17 Nürburgring 24 hrs entries with a best of third place and seven top 10 finishes.

Dan Sleat is an OW.  He has been Tony’ Blair’s Special Adviser.  He now specializes in Geopolitics for the Blair Foundation.  He is training to be ordained into the Buddhist movement.

John and Julia Guy are noted Tudor historians and in their most recent book chart the tempestuous relationship between Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII.

Andy Williamson

Andy Williamson is a journalist and writer who specializes in writing the biographies of hotels. Brown’s Hotel is his most recent book.

Friday 15 November

Reverend Jonathan Aitken was a Conservative MP from 1974-1997.  Now an ordained priest in the Church of England he got to know Richard Nixon in the 1970s and has written his biography.

Lieutenant General Sir Simon Mayall

Lieutenant General Mayall is a former Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations).  He has served extensively in combat zones and is the author of an autobiography “Soldier in the Sand” and  The House of War: The Struggle between Christendom and the Caliphate

Nicholas Milton

Friday 29 November
Warwick School Science Lecture Theatre

Nicholas Milton is an ornithologist, historian and a journalist. He has worked for The BBC Natural History Unit, The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, The Wildlife Trusts and Greenpeace and has also written extensively about the Second World War for The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Daily Mail and The Independent. His first book, Neville Chamberlain's Legacy, was published by Pen and Sword in 2019.
