Warwick School GCSE Results 2021
We are justifiably proud of all our GCSE students as we congratulate them on their outstanding achievements, not just today, but throughout their journey so far with us at Warwick School, guided always by our motto, Altiora Peto, ‘I seek higher things.’
Amongst the exceptional personal achievements, 31 boys received 10 or more A* or equivalent (Grade 9/8) across a diverse range of subjects, from STEM to Classics. Results were achieved on assessments under exam conditions, based on past papers.
James Barker, Head Master at Warwick School commented, ‘Over the past 18 months our GCSE cohort have faced numerous challenges, unprecedented upheaval and extended periods of remote learning. This morning’s GCSE results, awarded on the basis of a rigorous period of assessment in May and June are remarkable and a deserved recognition of the courage and perseverance with which they have met the challenges presented by the pandemic. We are extremely proud of all they have achieved and join them in celebrating their success and looking ahead with excitement to the future.’
Richard Nicholson, Principal of the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation added, ‘This has been a tumultuous two years for Year 11 students. Our Foundation schools’ pupils have shown exceptional determination in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact that has had on the process for the awarding of GCSE grades. Their results today are testament to their hard work and resilience, and the support of their teachers and families. Our pupils are exceptionally well-prepared for their sixth form studies, and we look forward to starting that exciting journey with them in September.’
