HOLIDAY ACTION AT KINGSLEY SCHOOL
This Easter, we will again be running our holiday camp at The Kingsley School.

Our Butterflies program is based at Warwick Prep School Nursery (Squirrels) and day activities will operate between 9.00am and 16.30pm daily.

Super Choice is open to boys and girls from School Years 2 to 7 (up to and including 12 year olds).
Example activities include: Indoor Archery, Cricket, Basketball, Didi cars (Y2-3), Bouncy Castle (Y2-3), Kapla, Badminton (Y4-7), Bo Karts (Y4-7), Disc Golf, Handball, Fun Swimming, Indoor and Outdoor Giant Games, Molkky, Hockey, Football, Tchoukball, Computers, Netball, Tennis, Darts (Y4-7), Table Tennis (Y4-7), Chess, Rounders/Tee Ball, plus much more!
Furthermore, our specialist activities for Easter Action will include: Fun with Felt / Magic with Paul / Forest School / Art & Craft / Fencing / Interior Design / Animation / Wall Climbing / Robot Wars Experience / Junior Medics / Martial Arts / Pottery / Jewellery Making / Gymnastics / Balloon Modelling / Fencing / Little Podsters / Fun Cookery / Curious Creatures / Drama with Sammie / Yoga / Kayaking (Y4-7) / and Parkour!
Children will choose from a variety of activities throughout the day. Each activity is 45 minutes and children will choose 6 activities a day (for example, the first activity choices for one group could be Art & Craft, Handball or Fencing. Then their second activity choices could be Fun Swimming, Indoor Archery or Balloon Modelling, etc.)

We will make choosing activities as fair as possible.

Fab Three
Experience three exciting activities in one fun-packed course. Perfect for those that fancy a bit of variety.
Interior Design
Join our vibrant and imaginative workshop where your dream home becomes a reality! Collaborate with two seasoned interior designers to craft your own unique interior design solutions and unleash your creativity.
Animation
Learn how to create amazing stop-frame animations using the latest technology. Our highly experienced animator will show you how to create your assets, build a storyboard and then film your own animated movie scene!

Boys and Girls in Reception and Year 1 will have free play of numerous activities during Early Risers, overseen by experienced Early Years staff.
Early Birds Swim
Please bring a swimming costume and towel (goggles are optional). Children will need to be able to swim at least 1 width of a recognised stroke (not doggy paddle) to be allowed to take part. Please note that our lifeguards cannot supervise any spectating children at Early Birds Swim (Years 2 - 7). All children who attend must swim.
Night Owls
Tea will be served at 4.45pm in the main dining hall and will consist of a selection of sandwiches and cold buffet food. The children will be eating until approximately 5.30pm. Collection will therefore be from the above locations between 5.30pm and 6.00pm. However, if you would like to collect your child earlier than this, please let us know in advance so we can ensure they are ready for collection.

Please note - the climbing frame on the WJS playground can only be used during designated playtimes and under staff supervision. We would kindly request that the climbing frame is not used at any other times, e.g. drop off and pick up. Thank you for your understanding.
Kingsley - Kingsley Kookaburras
Our Kingsley Holiday Action programme is based at Kingsley Senior School, Beauchamp House (CV32 5RD). Please use on-street car parking and follow signs for registration (access via the side gate).

Nursery (Butterflies Group) – for children who currently attend Warwick Prep Nursery (Squirrels) and Kingsley Nursery (Little Aviators)
Our nursery course will be based at the Prep School Nursery building (Squirrels). Please park on the school site outside Warwick Hall (Myton Road) or Warwick Prep (Banbury Road).
- Morning drop off is between 9.00am and 9.15am
- Afternoon pick up is between 4.00pm and 4.30pm
Action Plus (12-14 year old courses)
All courses will be based at Warwick Junior School, Sports Centre and Pavilion. Please park in the WJS carpark and follow the signs.
- Half-day courses
- Drop off is at the Warwick Junior School playground at 9.00am
- Midday pickup is at 12.15pm from the Black Gates (if only attending a morning course)
- Afternoon drop off is at 1.15pm from the Black Gates (if only attending an afternoon course)
- Pick up is from the Warwick Junior School playground at 4.30pm
- Please note: lunchtime supervision is provided for children attending both a morning and afternoon course.
Please bring plenty to drink (a refillable water bottle is recommended), a snack*, a packed lunch (if staying for the whole day)* and a coat for playtime.
Please ensure that your child arrives dressed suitably for the weather - layers are always a good idea, including a hoodie or jumper, plus a waterproof coat in the event of rain.
We would recommend that children wear comfortable clothing that they can wear for the whole day, e.g. sportswear and trainers.
WARWICK - Please bring a swimming kit and towel if you would like to swim in the afternoon.
*please do not bring any food containing nuts onto the site (including Nutella, hazelnut spread, chicken satay and pesto sauce)
*please ensure grapes and cherry tomatoes are cut in half to avoid choking hazard
*please note there is no fridge available.
Please also:
- Bring all inhalers, Epi-pens or any other medication in a clear, sealed and labelled bag, and hand in upon arrival. If medication is required please complete the appropriate form under 'Medical' in our Additional information area. This must be handed in on your child's first day of attendance.
- Mobile phones are permitted at Holiday Action for children in School Years 6 and above - please see below for details of our 'Mobile Phone' policy.

Our popular tuck shop will be available for Easter Action, serving a selection of crisps, popcorn, snacks and drinks during the morning breaktime.
If your child would like to visit the tuck shop, please bring no more than £1.50 per day.
Please note - the tuck shop is only available for children in school years 2 to 7, and our Action Plus group.
We recognise that it is increasingly difficult to police the use of mobile phones by pupils, but the following rules apply on site at Holiday Action:
- Mobile phones are permitted at Holiday Action for children in School Years 6 and above.
- Phones are bought onto site at the owner’s own risk and Holiday Action does not take any responsibility for any loss or damage incurred.
- Use of phones is restricted to breaktimes and lunchtimes and only within the designated ‘Phone Zone’ which is monitored by staff. Phones should be kept safely in their bags during activity sessions and at all other times, including drop-off, registration and pick-up.
- Staff on duty in the ‘Phone Zone’ will actively and closely supervise the use of mobile phones.
- The ‘Phone Zone’ is for playing age appropriate games only, i.e. downloadable games that have an age certificate (PEGI rating) appropriate for the age of the children playing them
- Pupils are not allowed to use their phones to:
- Access or post on any social media websites (Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Reddit, Pinterest, etc)
- View, take or share photos/videos - including content downloaded from 3rd party websites and social media
- Make calls or send texts/messages. Any calls to parents must be made by Holiday Action management.
- Play music
- Access the school WIFI
- Cause upset or distress to another pupil.
- If pupils are seen to be accessing inappropriate material or sites this will be immediately stopped and reported to management.

- Early Birds Swim (8.00 - 9.00) will consist of a fun swim overseen by qualified lifeguards
- Fun Short Courses - swimming will be available as part of select afternoon courses (e.g. Multi-Sports and Swim). If your child is booked onto one of these courses, please bring a swimming kit, towel and goggles (optional)
- Swimming will also be available as an activity option every afternoon for Super Choice. If your child would like to swim, please bring a swimming kit, towel and goggles (optional).
Please note - swimming is currently only available at WARWICK and for children in School Years 2 and upwards.

The option of choosing to pay via childcare vouchers or Tax Free Childcare is under the Terms and Conditions at the end of the booking process. If paying by childcare voucher or Tax Free Childcare, please note that the payment transaction must be completed and a screenshot of the payment confirmation sent to G.Thorne@warwickschools.co.uk within 5 days of making your booking in order to confirm your place.

- All courses have the appropriate staff to pupil ratio.
- All staff are DBS checked and undergo regular child protection training.
- Staff are appointed for their experience and expertise.
- Only nationally recognised qualifications are accepted for specialist activities.
- Doors are coded into buildings to prevent unauthorised access.
- Either Dan or Adrian are always available to be contacted by parents or staff throughout the day in the Community Activities office.
- Qualified First Aiders are always available.
- Data protection – All information collected will be held securely and will only be used to provide the best possible holiday childcare services for your child, and to ensure that your child is safe within our care.
