Warwick Rotary Club were finally able to hold the Youth Speaks competition for the Intermediate scholars (11 -13) that was postponed due to Covid. The competition gives local young people a chance to demonstrate their public speaking skills. The senior competition was held on 2 February and was won by Princethorpe College.
The debaters at Warwick have had a busy term with representations at the Cambridge University Debating competition; the ESU Mace and ESU Public Speaking Competition and the Rotary Youth Speaks.
This year 32 boys from Warwick School entered the UK's Senior Physics Challenge.
Congratulations to all our Sixth Formers who took part in the recent Chemistry Olympiad.
Year 13 Philosophy students were asked to make a board game or mechanism made of junk around the house to explain the ethical theory of Virtue Ethics.
Science Journal club has gone from strength to strength over the last year as our presentations went digital via Teams, with lockdown actually increasing the number of Year 12 and 13 attendees from Warwick School and King's High School.
Congratulations to our Upper Sixth students who were awarded the following certificates in this incredibly tough round of the Senior British Physics Olympiad.
Tuesday 22 September saw a very successful virtual version of our usual Oxbridge evening.

Our Year 12 psychologists from Warwick School and King's High School were treated to a fantastic ‘Brain Day’ led by neuroscientist Dr Guy Sutton - an Honorary Special Lecturer in Neuroscience at University of Nottingham.
