Each week will be based around a particular theme and will include a variety of outdoor, free play, sporting, creative and relaxing activities. All activities will be planned in accordance with the EYFS framework.

Our Butterflies program is based at Warwick Prep School Nursery (Squirrels) and day activities will operate between 9.00am and 16.30pm daily. 

PLEASE NOTE - our Butterflies group is for children who attend Warwick Prep and Kingsley Nurseries only.  

Led by our experienced Early Years Practitioner, children will experience a number of different exciting activities each day, including:  Art and Craft / Fun Cookery / Multi-Sport / Indoor and Outdoor play / Bouncy Castle / Kapla & Unu / Mini Basketball / Nature Trails / plus much more!  

Plus, our specialist activities for this Christmas will include Jewellery Making / Bouldering / Magic with Paul / and Gymnastics with Gemma.

Please note that activities will be running on specific days only. 

I'm afraid that we are not able to accept children who have not yet started in Reception. 

Our Fun Short Courses for the Christmas holiday include:

Christmas Circuit Games
Come and experience some festive fun with our 'Christmas Circuit Games' course. Teams will slug it out in a series of Christmas themed games and challenges, to see if they can be top of the tree this holiday season!

Christmas Puppets with Sammie (Pinocchio's Circus)
We will be exploring acting, movement, circus, puppetry, games and so much more.

Bring your sense of adventure and your cheeky side as we delve into Pinocchio's Circus. Uncover the secret life of Pinocchio’s circus as we explore iconic locations, meet out of this world characters such as Pinocchio, Jiminy cricket, Geppetto and the Ringmaster.

Drama Workshop with Sammie (The World of Narnia)
Come along through the Wardrobe into the magical world of Narnia.

Your Sons of Adam and Daughter of Eves will explore iconic locations, meet legendary characters such as Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter and even learn the Faun’s lullaby. Using our theatre skills of mime, movement, voice, storytelling, and games, we’ll create C.S. Lewis’s classic tales of magic and mystery. Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen of Narnia.

NERF Wars
Experience the adrenaline rush of NERF ™ with exciting team games such as Royal Rumble, Capture the Flag and Humans vs Zombies! All equipment, including guns, darts and safety goggles, will be provided.

For Fun Cookery, the children will be cooking:

• Monday 16th December - Ginger biscuits and festive cupcakes (contains egg and gluten)
• Tuesday 17th December - Festive bread and mince pies / jam tarts (contains egg and gluten)

PLEASE NOTE: Lunchtime supervision will be provided for any children booked onto both a morning and afternoon short course. Please bring a packed lunch.  

Please note that year groups are in relation to state school year groups. Children will be in the year group they are currently in at school.  

Super Choice is  open to boys and girls from School Years 2 to 7 (up to and including 12 year olds). 

Example activities include: Indoor Archery, Cricket, Basketball, Didi cars (Y2-3), Bouncy Castle (Y2-3), Kapla, Badminton (Y4-7), Bo Karts (Y4-7), Disc Golf, Handball, Fun Swimming, Indoor and Outdoor Giant Games, Molkky, Hockey, Football, Tchoukball, Computers, Netball, Tennis, Darts (Y4-7), Table Tennis (Y4-7), Chess, Rounders/Tee Ball, plus much more! 

Plus, our specialist activities for Christmas include: Jewellery Making / Wall Climbing / Interior Design / Magic with Paul / Puppet Making with Sammie / and Gymnastics with Gemma!

Children will choose from a variety of activities throughout the day.  Each activity is 45 minutes and children will choose 6 activities a day (for example, the first activity choices for one  group  could be Art & Craft, Handball or Fencing. Then their second activity choices could be Fun Swimming, Indoor Archery or Balloon Modelling, etc.)  

Please note that activities will vary from day to day and are subject to change. 

We will make choosing activities as fair as possible.   

Our Super Choice programme is bookable by the  school year group your child is in. Please see the table below for details of which group to book for your child. 

TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU BOOK YOUR CHILD INTO THE CORRECT GROUP. THIS SHOULD BE BASED ON THE SCHOOL YEAR YOUR CHILD IS CURRENTLY IN.  PLEASE BE AWARE THAT INCORRECT BOOKINGS WILL NEED TO BE CHANGED AND THE SAME AVAILABILITY CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.

Interior Design
Join our vibrant and imaginative workshop where your dream home becomes a reality! Collaborate with two seasoned interior designers to craft your own unique interior design solutions and unleash your creativity.

Wall Climbing
Wall climbing is a brilliant way to keep fit, challenge yourself and learn new skills. Our 12-14 year old course will give you an expert introduction to the world of wall climbing.

Early Risers 

Boys and Girls in Reception and Year 1 will  have  free play of numerous activities during Early Risers, overseen by experienced Early Years staff. 

Early Birds Swim 

Please bring a swimming costume and towel (goggles are optional). Children will need to be able to swim at least 1 width of a recognised stroke (not doggy paddle) to be allowed to take part. Please note that our lifeguards cannot supervise any spectating children at Early Birds Swim (Years 2 - 7).  All children who attend must swim. 

Night Owls 

Tea will be served at 4.45pm in the main dining hall and will consist of a selection of sandwiches and cold buffet food. The children will be eating until approximately 5.30pm. Collection will therefore be from the above locations between 5.30pm and 6.00pm. However, if you would like to collect your child earlier than this, please let us know in advance so we can ensure they are ready for collection.

Please note - the climbing frame on the WJS playground can only be used during designated playtimes and under staff supervision. We would kindly request that the climbing frame is not used at any other times, e.g. drop off and pick up. Thank you for your understanding.

Kingsley (Kingsley Kookaburras)

Our Kingsley Holiday Action programme will not be running during the Christmas holidays. This will return in the February Half-Term.

Nursery (Butterflies Group) – For children who currently attend Warwick Prep Nursery (Squirrels) and Kingsley Nursery (Little Aviators)

Our nursery course will be based at the Prep School Nursery building (Squirrels). Please park on the school site outside Warwick Hall (Myton Road) or Warwick Prep (Banbury Road).

• Morning drop off is between 9.00am and 9.15am
• Afternoon pick up is between 4.00pm and 4.30pm

Action Plus (12-14 year old courses)

All courses will be based at Warwick Junior School, Sports Centre and Pavilion. Please park in the WJS carpark and follow the signs. 

• Half-day courses
  • Drop off is at the Warwick Junior School playground at 9.00am
  • Midday pickup is at 12.15pm from the Black Gates (if only attending a morning course) 
  • Afternoon drop off is at 1.15pm from the Black Gates (if only attending an afternoon course) 
  • Pick up is from the Warwick Junior School playground at 4.30pm
  • Please note: lunchtime supervision is provided for children attending both a morning and afternoon course. 

Please bring plenty to drink (a refillable water bottle is recommended), a snack*, a packed lunch (if staying for the whole day)* and a coat for playtime.  

Please ensure that your child arrives dressed suitably for the weather - layers are always a good idea, including a hoodie or jumper, plus a waterproof coat in the event of rain.  

We would recommend that children wear comfortable clothing that they can wear for the whole day, e.g. sportswear and trainers.  

In the event of very cold weather, we would recommend that children bring hats and gloves too.

*please do not bring any food containing nuts onto the site (including Nutella, hazelnut spread, chicken satay and pesto sauce) 

*please ensure grapes and cherry tomatoes are cut in half to avoid choking hazard 

*please note there is no fridge available. 

Please note - there is no tuck shop available during the Christmas holidays. Therefore, please ensure that your child arrives with all the food and snacks they will need for the entire day.

Please also: 

• Bring all inhalers, Epi-pens or any other medication in a clear, sealed and labelled bag, and hand in upon arrival. If medication is required please complete the appropriate form under 'Medical' in our  Additional information  area.  This must be handed in on your child's first day of attendance. 

• Mobile phones are permitted at Holiday Action for children in School Years 6 and above - please see below for details of our 'Mobile Phone' policy.

We recognise that it is increasingly difficult to police the use of mobile phones by pupils, but the following rules apply on site at Holiday Action: 

• Mobile phones are permitted at Holiday Action for children in School Years 6 and above. 

• Phones are bought onto site at the owner’s own risk and Holiday Action does not take any responsibility for any loss or damage incurred. 

• Use of phones is restricted to breaktimes and lunchtimes and only within the designated ‘Phone Zone’ which is monitored by staff. Phones should be kept safely in their bags during activity sessions and at all other times, including drop-off, registration and pick-up. 

• Staff on duty in the ‘Phone Zone’ will actively and closely supervise the use of mobile phones. 

• The ‘Phone Zone’ is for playing age appropriate games only, i.e. downloadable games that have an age certificate (PEGI rating) appropriate for the age of the children playing them 

• Pupils are not allowed to use their phones to: 
  • Access or post on any social media websites (Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Reddit, Pinterest, etc) 
  • View, take or share photos/videos - including content downloaded from 3rd party websites and social media 
  • Make calls or send texts/messages. Any calls to parents must be made by Holiday Action management. 
  • Play music 
  • Access the school WIFI 
  • Cause upset or distress to another pupil. 
• If pupils are seen to be accessing inappropriate material or sites this will be immediately stopped and reported to management.

• Early Birds Swim (8.00 - 9.00) will consist of a fun swim overseen by qualified lifeguards
• Fun Short Courses - swimming will be available as part of select afternoon courses (e.g. Multi-Sports and Swim). If your child is booked onto one of these courses, please bring a swimming kit, towel and goggles (optional).
• Super Choice - swimming is available as an activity choice in the afternoon. If your child would like to swim, please bring a swimming kit, towel and goggles (optional).

Please note - swimming is currently only available at WARWICK and for children in School Years 2 and upwards.

If your child requires any medication during their time at Holiday Action, or has a pre-existing injury, please complete one of our Medical Forms and bring this with you on the first day. 

The option of choosing to pay via childcare vouchers or Tax Free Childcare is under the Terms and Conditions at the end of the booking process.  If paying by childcare voucher or Tax Free Childcare, please note that the payment transaction must be completed and a screenshot of the payment confirmation sent to G.Thorne@warwickschools.co.uk within 5 days of making your booking in order to confirm your place.
