Art Challenge
Paul Klee once said that drawing was "taking a line for a walk" and Wassily Kandinsky said "everything starts with a dot".
Paul Klee once said that drawing was "taking a line for a walk" and Wassily Kandinsky said "everything starts with a dot". For this term's art competition we are going to take that to the nth degree.
Mr Herringshaw is challenging boys to produce a drawing that is one long line. You may draw whatever you like but once you start you must ensure your pen does not leave the page until you are finished.
These drawings will not be neat and they will not be perfect. Instead, they will have character and mistakes and they will be like nothing you have drawn before.
Here is an example Mr Herringshaw drew in 20 minutes. At times, his hand got tired so he stopped where he was and started again when he was ready. We are all really excited to see what the boys produce. Please only work in pen to complete the drawings. Looking forward to seeing what is produced - good luck boys!
