Welcome to our new Headmaster
After 6 years of outstanding leadership, Andrew Hymer has retired as Head of Warwick Junior School at the end of December 2022.
Following a national search led by Anthony Millard Consulting Ltd, the school is delighted to announce that John Bond, previously Head of Prep School at Moreton Hall, has been appointed as the new Head of Warwick Junior School from the start of the Lent term in January 2023.
Mr Bond has over 20 years of experience in a range of schools, becoming Deputy Head (Academic) at Hatherop Castle Prep School in 2017 prior to his appointment as Head of Prep School at Moreton Hall. Previous posts include senior roles at Hereford Cathedral Junior School in Hereford, West Hill Park Prep School in Fareham, and King Edward’s Junior School in Bath.
Mr Bond is also a qualified ISI Team and Boarding inspector.
Mr Barker, Head Master of Warwick School, said: ‘the appointment of a Head with Mr Bond’s breadth of experience accumulated in leadership roles encompassing all areas of school life is hugely exciting. Mr Bond’s vision for Warwick Junior School is compelling and I am convinced that we have found a superb Head to build on Mr Hymer’s time at the helm and fulfil our ambition to be the most inspiring, rounded and caring boys school in the country.’ The whole Warwick community looks forward to welcoming him with the new term.’
