The Year 6 Football A-team had a fantastic start to the season on Wednesday, as they finished runners-up in the 7-a-side tournament.

The Warwick boys finished top of their group of seven teams - with a record of five wins and one draw. They qualified for the semi-final, which they won after a sudden death penalty shoot-out.

Unfortunately, Warwick lost 1-0 in a closely contested final versus RGS Worcester. But, incredibly, this was the first goal that the team had conceded in the whole tournament.

Mr Burchett (Director of Junior School Sport) reflected on the afternoon: “Well done to all the boys who represented the school brilliantly throughout the whole afternoon. The boys put in a great effort and showed true sportsmanship. We are very proud of them.”
