Message from Mr Bond: 10 March 2023
At the start of the week, I introduced the new learning strength that the boys will be focusing on at school - communication. In particular we discussed the skill of listening and its vital role in effectively sharing and exchanging information. It is therefore apt that this week involved a number of events where listening was key!
On Monday, a small group of Year 4 and 6 boys joined a Foundation wide pupil strategy day. The boys joined with pupils from the Prep School and Kingsley to discuss issues such as charity, the environment and how the schools could work together in future. Ideas were then shared and exchanged with pupils from the senior school, other headteachers and the Principal, Mr Nicholson. The Podcasters club gave me a real grilling after school on Tuesday with some incisive questioning as these budding investigative journalists recorded a podcast. The listening theme continued on Wednesday with some wonderful music performed by some of the Junior School boys at the Guitar Concert in Warwick Hall.
This week will finish with the boys and many parents watching the Year 4 production of 'Porridge'. At the time of writing, I am eagerly awaiting the first performance and I know that after months of planning and rehearsing that the boys will do themselves proud. Well done to the boys and staff!
