Walking around school this week, it was great to see such fun and engaging learning taking place. On one visit to the science laboratory, Year 5 boys were enjoying their first lessons using bunsen burners.
In my assembly to the boys this week, I introduced or reminded the boys of our school motto 'Altiora Peto'. To make this more understandable to our boys we have chosen to simplify this to 'Aiming Higher'.
My assembly focused on what Aiming Higher might entail.
Year 6 have been inspired by 'The Viewer' by Gary Crew.
Henry has been very busy creating a Covid-19 time capsule recording his life during lockdown. During this period, Henry wrote a poem 'The Keyworker Kids'.
Thanks to the power of technology, the English Chess Federation (ECF) and similar organisations have been quick to move their tournaments online.
Congratulations to Oliver for raising a whopping £1,118.
The Year 4 play came as a very welcome respite to the gloom and doom in the news of late.

Year 3 had a most enjoyable day visiting Market Hall Museum in Warwick.
Nimal and Ishan joined a host of runners competing in the West Midlands regional cross country in Nuneaton.
Freddie marked a remarkable feat by achieving a black belt following a series of grading sessions at Martial Arts.
Billy recently competed in the U8 section of the London Junior Chess Championship having secured third place in the U10 competition earlier in the month.
