At this time more than ever, we all need the support of our families to get through the daily challenges of lockdown and online learning.

Mother & Son
The evening consisted of three activities which gave all participants the chance to do the following: for the boys to share their experiences of the transition to secondary school; for the mothers to describe how they were finding things as their sons made this massive step into senior school; and for both mothers and sons to reminisce about past shared times, to express their feelings about each other now, and to talk about how they would keep their relationship with each other strong in the future.

It was wonderful to see so many boys and their mums connecting, there were plenty of hugs and kisses throughout!

Father & Son
Our annual Father and Son Time evening, was againg with Bill Jennings orchestrating events from his (very impressive) shed in Melbourne, Australia. It was fantastic to see so many fathers and mentors of Year 8 boys get involved. We had 80 in all, which smashes the record from previous years! The evening ran with three breakout sessions, each run by the prefects. In each session, the boys and their fathers were able to recall important shared experiences in the past, reflect on their relationship right now and plan how to stay connected and build their father-son bond in the future.

Even though it was on the screen, it was wonderful to see so many Year 8 boys with their dads smiling, joking and even hugging at the end of the evening. A great event, and we hope to be back in the Warwick Hall to do it again next year!
